From log to spoon in a day, using only hand tools and Slöjd carving techniques.

Taught by Andrea Cortés, experienced spoon carver and woodworker.

You will learn how to use the carving axe, the Slöjd knife and the Hook knife to shape the wood.

The spoon is just an excuse to be able to understand wood and learn how to work with hand tools.

What language is the class held in?

Andrea speaks Castellà, Anglès and a mica from Català. She adapts to the group’s needs.

Do I need experience?

You do not need previous experience to sign up for this course. Just patience and curiosity.

Is it dangerous?

We will work with very sharp tools and it is possible to get hurt. It is a course that requires a lot of attention and full awareness.

What will we have for lunch?

We turn on the BBQ and have different types of meat, vegetables and bread available.
